Those are skeleton hands, Tory

Tory Burch Caledonia foil-print T-shirt

I love Tory Burch – LOVE her. I think I’ve said this before on this blog, yes?

But I can’t see that shirt as angel wings. (Not even when it’s in silver or purple). I see creepy, scary, yucky SKELETON HANDS!!

Here are a few fashion DO’s by Ms. Burch, available at

Uh … Tory … ?

February 15, 2010

Dear Miss Burch,

I like you. No, I ADORE you. Truthfully – if I was gonna give crime a whirl, I might start with robbing one of your stores blind. (Not with a gun of course. With a candy bar like in that Charlie Sheen movie where he has sex with Kristy Swanson while driving and still manages to win a high-speed car chase.)

HOWEVER, this top is not OK. I live for exposed zippers – live … for … them – but this looks identical to the robe I wear when I’m getting my roots done. And the leopard pants you’ve paired them with? Well that just reminds me of the crazy girl who shampoos my hair.

Here are two of your pieces at Tra Tutti that we love. We’re just going to look the other way on this one.

I … might … like … fannypacks … Hear me out!

Fannypack runway

LV fanny packDid you know that the fanny pack also goes by belt pack, belly bag, Buffalo pouch, hip sack, hip pack, bum bag, Joe bag, or man bag??? Who knew!? Thank you, wikipedia.

To some, myself included (gulp, I can’t believe I’m saying this out loud), the resurrection is a form of WELCOMED, ironic, retro fashion.

At first I was horrified when I began to witness the comeback in recent years by Gucci, Prada, Coach, Marc Jacobs, and Louis Vuitton (photo to the right from the LV 2010 collection) … but the redesigned fanny packs are cute and kind of useful!

I’m not going to rush out buy one just yet, but I’m just admitting that I’m considering it.

Is there such thing as too “flattering”?

October 14, 2009

I was shopping on the Saks website instead of doing some much needed accounting for Tra Tutti (shocking, I know), when I came across this BCBG top. Is it just me or does this Size 00 model look awful? I love a flattering, comfy blouse as much as the next gal, but this just seems TOO flowing.

Try these blouses at Tra Tutti for a fit that doesn’t make you look like you’re with child, yet isn’t so tight that it shows the outline of your  appendix surgery scar!

Who Are You Wearing!?

September 17, 2009

There are so many fabulous blogs out there where high fashion divas snap shots of themselves in absolutely unique and fashion-forward ensembles, and then we all oo and aahh and wish we had thought of a similar outfit.

Sea of Shoes

My favorite such site is Sea of Shoes. I’m like 10 years this girls senior, and yet she has more fashion in her pinky toe then I do in my entire body.

HOWEVER, today I thought to myself “I could do that! I could post my outfits every now and again. After all, I own a designer consignment website and run a fashion blog.”

But then I looked down.

Here’s where we run into some trouble. It turns out when I’m working from home, I am no Fashionista, I am barely a pajama-ista.

So, ladies and gentleman (if any gentleman besides my boyfriend read this blog), here is what I, FASHION BUSINESS OWNER, Ashley Judge am wearing today:

  1. MTV T-Shirt by Junk Food Tees
  2. Leggings from J Crew
  3. Missoni Scarf (Retail $375, got for $69.99 at Filenes Basement – score!)
  4. Pink Flip Flops by Tory Burch
  5. Iced Latte (may have spilled a little on the t-shirt)

So, in conclusion, you probably won’t find this morphing into a blog about what I’m wearing.

The WTF Shoe

September 8, 2009

A shoe that I like to call the “WTF Shoe” has been popping up all over the place!

The most INSANE version of this shoe (left) was worn by the Queen of Crazy Shoe-opolis, Mrs. Victoria Beckham, last September. Of course it was, right? (Thank you GoFugYourself girls for sharing this with us last year! We forwarded the shoe to everyone we knew)

However, less insane, slightly more wearable versions of this trend seem to be everywhere I look (now that I’m obsessively looking for them).

For starters, the versions we like may have a crazy heel, but at least they have a heel unlike Poshies shoe. And what’s more interesting …. we find ourselves so drawn to this new structured, handcrafted shoe trend. We’d love to know what you think.

One lucky size 8 Tra Tutti shopper will be able to scoop up a pair for a bargain price. If you love them like we do, our Pour le Victoire pump is a fraction of the $1,000+ price tag most of these shoes seem to carry.
