You’re gross (i love you)

May 3, 2010

Nick Cannon gave Mariah a custom-made “Ring Pop” for their second anniversary in LA. The bling-a-ring was made of white gold encrusted white diamonds and pink sapphires. “It also comes in a box complete with a spinner so that you can see it sparkle under the lights inside,” Jason Arasheben, the CEO of Jason of Beverly Hills, told People Magazine.

Here’s what I’m supposed to say about Mariah Carey’s new ring:

“I’m sickened. What a despicable display of showiness. Another example of celebrities knowing no wasteful bounds”

Here’s how I really feel:

“It’s the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen!”. Well, maybe not EVER, but what’s not to like? Diamonds? check! Pink Glitter? check! Candy? Check!

For a cheaper (less ridiculous) option, try a Couture Lolipop from Sugar Factory:

I’m loving this white-washed look by Reese. It’s angellic. She’s literally glowing. And the little pop of color on her ears – precious.

(By the way, I’m loving the oblivious Golden Girls in the back ground).

If this Christian Cota skirt isn’t the prettiest thing ever, I don’t know what is!!! How could People even put it up for a vote? And who are those wacky 23% who don’t love this?

That’s all I have to say about that.

People are talkin’, talkin’ bout Miiice

December 20, 2009
“The people behind the mini Unkle K have created rodent versions of Betsey Johnson, Coco Chanel, and Anna Wintour! Betsey and Coco are spot on …” – Coco Perez

“The perfect stocking stuffers  … They’re all cute, though Karl looks especially good as a mouse, shades and all.” – Fab Sugar

“Forget the CFDA Awards. You know you’ve made it in fashion when there’s a mouse created in your likeness. Anna Wintour, Betsey Johnson, Karl Lagerfeld and Coco Chanel go rodent-chic for Tra Tutti’s Few Fab Mice Friends.” – Slice of Style

“Standing at around 2.5 inches tall, these terribly trendy mice – Coco Chanel-O-Mouse, Karl Lagermouse, Anna Wintourmouse – are handcrafted from felt, silk, ribbon, beads, faux fur, wool, wire, and rubber foam. They even come with a “certificate of authenticity” and arrive in a tres chic gift box.” – Fashion Tribes

“Tra Tutti sells mice doll incarnations of fashion people, including Anna Wintourmouse, Karl Lagermouse, and others.” – NY Magazine

Burn

November 24, 2009

This is what That’ 70’s show’s Kelson would call a “BURN!”.

Love it.

Humor Chic by Alexsandro Palombo is a daily society portrait blog, an illustrated point of view about fashion, costume, culture, society and celebrity.

We all remember when Lindsey bombed this past October when Emanuel Ungaro presented the first collection designed under her artistic advisement. Her runway “successes” included such gems as glittery heart-shaped nipple pasties. Women’s’ Wear Daily called the collection “an embarrassment,” and mentioned that it looked “cheesy and dated” with an “overworked” heart motif.
